Leicester City host Everton at the King Power Stadium in Leicester
Having a wonderful season so far, Leicester City host Everton at the King Power Stadium in Leicester. In our English Premier League predictions we will have a look at this fixture.
Leicester’s decision to appoint Brendan Rodgers as a manager is proving to be just excellent. Right now the Foxes are second in the Premier League standings, being only behind the convincing leader Liverpool. Rodgers’ work is now reminding everyone of how Leicester City performed during their title winning season under Claudio Ranieri.
9 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses – this is Leicester’s impressive record in the league so far. What’s even more impressive is that right now the Foxes are in a run of five consecutive wins in the league. In the previous round they visited Brighton & Hove Albion and didn’t face any problems to secure a 2-0 win.
The midfielder Matty James is the only player missing for Leicester City right now. He won’t be avaliable for the game on Sunday.
We said it before and we will say it again – it’s a miracle that Everton’s manager Marco Silva is still not sacked by the club’s board. Everton are just awful so far, being 16th in the standings with 14 points won. For a club which invested so much money in new players in the last few years, this is totally unacceptable.
In the previous round Everton got humilated again by losing their home game against the struggling Norwich City. The visitors achieved an easy 2-0 win, which made the Toffees’ fans even more furious about the current state of their team.
On Sunday Everton are going to be without Andre Gomes, Bernard, Fabian Delph and Jean Gbamin, who are all injured.
In our English Premier League predictions we expect a dominance by Leicester City against Everton. The Foxes are much, much better. Can this be Marco Silva’s last game as an Everton manager? It could be.
